so-soThis was uncomfortably heteronormative in places with casual homophobia and odd sexism to go with it. It made parts of the story very awkward. I couldn‘t help pulling for both couples by the end, but I almost bailed. Luckily it was a quick read. I think the problem is that SO much has changed since 2011 in how we talk about gender, identity, etc., and this just has not aged well.
