Interesting with lots of good advice, but not great as an audiobook. Too many points where you need to stop and watch video content or take a quiz or something.

Finally finished this one! I‘ve been reading it aloud to my husband when he‘s driving us somewhere. It offers a lot of good advice about how to hold important conversations well. The authors also have a bit of a sense of humor which helps.

Riveted_Reader_Melissa Sounds interesting and useful 2y

Decided to listen to this as I feel like I could really do better in stressful conversations, both at home and at work. This version is a little dated, but still contains useful strategies that I hope I will remember next time I need them!

Just finished reading (listening) to this book for work. There is a lot here for both my personal and professional lives. I found this book very helpful because I do not like conflict, and now I understand lots of ways I can deal with conflict when it occurs. #Audible #audiobook

Read this book for work, but it applies to your personal life as well. Very good book. Highly recommend if you struggle having those hard conversations.

KathyWheeler I definitely need this book. 6y
LadyRuthven @KathyWheeler I really needed too. Haha those kinds of convos are so hard. I'm in an HR role and so have to have unpleasant conversations sometimes and this really helped alot. But it does hit on those personal life conversations as well and that really helps. 6y
KathyWheeler @LadyRuthven I‘m in a supervisory position and have had to have a few — thankfully not many — unpleasant conversations. They are difficult for me in both my work and personal life. 6y

Great series with practical examples of how to handle certain sticky situations. I would recommend reading "Crucial Confrontations" immediately following this book... as it answers many natural questions that arise after reading about all the new conversations that are about to take place in your life. Lol. It's a great tool for business and personal life.

Our leadership team is receiving this training this month. I hope to put it to good use as it seems I'm having a lot of crucial conversations at work lately.

ReadingEnvy This book was so helpful to me when I moved into a role where I was suddenly the boss to people who had been my peers! Probably time to reread it. 8y

Mehso-so

So disappointed, had this book on my To Read for a long time and it was jus so-so... I think a lot was lost in the audio version (abridged) I would recommend other formats of this book but not sure it would improve my rating significantly :/

RinaBrahmbhattBarot I'm reading paper back - really useful advise and some of the suggestions are very practical :) 8y

I don't know why but January theme seems to be conversational and self help reads. Anyone else reading self help in #January? If so, which ones?

Amandajoy I read You Are a Badass & plan on reading 168 Hours & The Power of Positive Thinking. I always like reading self improvement books in January, I feel like it's a reset. 8y
RinaBrahmbhattBarot @Amandajoy so true!! Reset it is. I've power of positive thinking - its in my TBR as well :) 8y
