Why I love Malazan books 📖
I had a great time doing the #WinterReadathon -- finished 8 books and met almost all my goals, including finishing the tagged book (a gigantic tome)! I enjoyed all the readathon activities and prompts and loved reading all the responses.
Thanks so much, @Andrew65, @DieAReader, and @GHABI4ROSES, for hosting and for all the encouragement along the way!
There is so much going on in this 6th book of the Malazan Book of the Fallen series. I'm hoping to get through at least a couple more volumes from this lengthy and complex series for #SeriesLove2023.

Yet another great Malazan book. I don't have much to say as any description of the plot would make no sense without having read the others, but I will say that after the first book the series improves drastically and keeps it up at least through this entry in the series.
On the home stretch, see my latest post at https://lostinamillionpages.com/2020/08/28/y-12-quarantined-days-update-26/
Completed this book before the three day weekend 😝 so I‘m starting on the next book which has 50 pages more than this one 🤣🤣🤣 even though I kept it in a sleeve my granddaughter got ahold@of it so it looks beat up 🤕 😰 but the story continues to fascinate and I am moving on with much anticipation... do you ever finish a book and start to sound like the book...😬😳😝📖📚
There are still 500+ pages 😳😝📖 to read and it seems like I just started this one I‘m only on pg. 719 🤣🤣🤣
I have not been able to do this with this series... not because I didn‘t want to but because I didn‘t want to miss what was in between 😳😋
I‘m starting this big read at only 1230pages 😝📖not that bad it‘s number six in the Malazan series only four more after that then I can take a break before reading the other books by the authors of this series 😋
The story gets more and more complex and even better in every part I read. Truly epic!
Even though a 1200+ pages monster, it seems that Erikson's writing gets much more accessible throughout the books. I remember that I had some trouble with book 2, but that could have been my bad memory 😅
This was the next random pull off the shelf. Haven't been reading as much as I should lately. Serious case of writing brain 😨. But my novel should be finished by Jan. 31st, so there's that.
