There‘s a lot of cool stuff in this one, but ultimately it all felt half-baked. The denouement didn‘t hit very hard, and everything after felt rushed.

I went into this with low expectations, thinking it was just a generic YA fantasy. I was going with it for a few hundred pages, and I actually enjoyed the hunt and everything. But then it got to the ending and it was just SO YA fantasy that I just couldn‘t. The decisions all the characters made were just so unexplained and ridiculous. 3⭐️
