Welcome to Litsy!

This is a hard one to rate. On the one hand, there were lots of chapters that I really enjoyed and wanted to see more of (essentially a woman finding and losing then finding herself again all the while dealing with different types of love), but on the other hand, a lot of this felt unnecessarily risqué, and I wasn‘t sure how it helped move the plot forward. It pulled me from what I felt was the heart of the story.

This book is based on a popular podcast featuring Demi Moore.If you‘re offended by stories that contain soft porn, this book isn‘t for you because it sure did contain a lot of that. This book deals with many real life topics that affect marriage. I found it ironic how the protagonist‘s relationship with her husband took a complete 360 by the end of the book. I found the storyline to be so-so..

I am all about smut, but I didn‘t expect this to be all sex, all time.

A new day, a new book to read!

The most cohesively cowritten novel I have ever read! Sometimes a cowritten voice can fall flat and lack distinction, but Besser and Feste managed to fuse in a way that felt singular. Dirty Diana is a brilliantly woven patchwork quilt that explores themes of female desire, friendship, marriage, gender, social hierarchy, art, and identity. Who are we and what should we demand of this lifetime? What are we entitled to and what should we tolerate?

I‘m so far behind! Hence the mug ! 😄I want to spend more time reading and on Litsy, I just got my Christmas tree up yesterday! 🎄This week working on these, and one other ,a composite biography of F.Scott Fitzgerald.

Calling all fans of Esther Perel and Couples Therapy! This alluring debut felt so real, raising questions about desire and self-discovery, exploring the line between passion and stability. I‘m intrigued to see where the story goes in the next two installments, and we won‘t have to wait too long - it looks likes they‘re both out next year! #BOTM

I also had to pick up the sequel to “What the River Knows”. I‘ve been hanging from that cliffhanger for about a year! 😆

I wanted to like this so much more. I spoiled the book for myself by listening to the podcast first…I was most interested in reading the women‘s stories and those are all on the podcast.

The only part I really enjoyed was the flashback for Diana…that‘s not on the podcast.

Overall, it is a good read if you go to it blindly.

I received this ARC a few weeks ago and I was immediately intrigued! I had never heard of this podcast so I looked it up and started listening, and it‘s so good. Still have about 2 episodes left, but I couldn‘t wait to start the book.
