Earthflown has plucked me out of my book slump and unceremoniously deposited me into an era of pining for another indie fantasy thriller similar to Wren's exquisite debut novel. Flawlessly interweaving romance, sci-fi, and fantasy against a futuristic post-apocalyptic backdrop, Earthflown explores wealth disparity, the water crisis, and humanity through multiple POVs. An exhausted x sunshine romance blossoms between a healer and a rich heir...

TheIntrovertedDodoBird in a truly cinematic universe (the potential for an adaption is ENDLESS). The prose was beautifully visceral; one can not resist annotating the pages. I loved the purposefully ambiguous conclusion, and though originally planned as a standalone, the hinted at sequel would be entirely welcome! In a universe where humans are born with certain aptitudes (i.e., the ability to conjure fire and water, or vanish like ghosts)... 4mo
TheIntrovertedDodoBird I thought it was heartbreakingly astute that empaths were the most controversial figures in society which, in my opinion, runs parallel to our own reality and existing prejudices only without the fantastical element, especially through a political lense. I really loved the three-dimensional a-spec representation! Unequivocally, this is one of my all-time favourite books! I could gush about the cover for days. Isn't it stunning?! 4mo
