so-soOh I'm so conflicted! I wanted to love this one more but it was too slow a read. I think it's interesting that so far this author has written all 3 paces (imo) and I wish they'd write another medium-paced one like Spell Bound. As usual, I love how effortlessly #queer their books are and the ideas are always cool. A perpetual winter, religious beliefs, and one jaded soul who falls for a non-human entity. Sadly...it drags Orz

pickI love Lukens' books. This is the latest, and we follow Ellery and Knox. Ellery is working at a diner and is dealing with a world that has spent the past five years in an endless winter, and Knox is the human familiar for one of the local witches. At least he is until she gets killed, and he ends up on the run. Which is when he runs into Ellery, who makes a deal with him to help end the winter 💙
