The interwoven destinies of the people of Meridian will finally be determined in this stunning conclusion to New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Roanhorses Between Earth and Sky trilogy. Even the sea cannot stay calm before the storm. Teek saying Serapio, avatar of the Crow God Reborn and the newly crowned Carrion King, rules Tova. But his enemies gather both on distant shores and within his own city as the matrons of the clans scheme to destroy him. And deep in the alleys of the Maw, a new prophecy is whispered, this one from the Coyote God. It promises Serapio certain doom if its terrible dictates are not fulfilled. Meanwhile, Xiala is thrust back amongst her people as war comes first to the island of Teek. With their way of life and their magic under threat, she is their last best hope. But the sea wont talk to her the way it used to, and doubts riddle her mind. She will have to sacrifice the things that matter most to unleash her powers and become the queen they were promised. And in the far northern wastelands, Naranpa, avatar of the Sun God, seeks a way to save Tova from the visions of fire that engulf her dreams. But another presence has begun stalking her nightmares, and the Jaguar God is on the hunt. Nominated for the Nebula, Lambda, Locus, and Hugo Awards, winner of the Alex Award from the American Library Association and the Ignyte Award from Fiyah magazine, the Between Earth and Sky trilogy is amongst our most lauded modern fantasy series from The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and USA TODAY bestselling author Rebecca Roanhorse.

What a fantastic conclusion to a truly epic trilogy. As a fantasy, the world building is top notch and immersive, with splendour and grittiness in equal measure. Each and every character is carefully and richly drawn, and you can‘t help but empathize, even with the villains. This story of feuding gods and warring clans is brutal and delightful and everything in between, and even the ending is a bittersweet dichotomy. I genuinely loved this story.

Finished this one in November! Ahh this was the end of the Between Earth and Sky trilogy. I‘ve loved these books so much. I think I liked the other 2 more than this one. But overall, it was a good/satisfying ending to the series.

I read like half of it June and finished the rest in 2 days. #20in4

I was glad to read a fantasy inspired by Pre-Colombian Americas. I was also very satisfied with the ending.

Last of the series, and it was challenging. Roanhorse wrapped up the characters lives in ways that were true and meaningful. Some won the lives we wanted for them, others deserved their fates, but I was sad to lose them. As always, loved her use of pronouns, and honorific titles that are not gender specific. Wish our world was the same. VERY glad for the “People of the Meridian” list; I kept confusing the relationships. I‘ll miss this series.

Well that was devastating but in the best possible way. I couldn't put this down and I was tense reading it. It built and built to a conclusion that made sense to the world and story.

As much as I loved it, the pacing felt a little off and some POV chapters weren't as well done as others. Though that could be my bias as some characters I cared more about than others.

⬇️

PuddleJumper It was an excellent final instalment of an excellent fantasy series. I would recommend this to everyone who enjoys fantasy and epic novels because it is something really unique in those genres. Thanks to #Netgalley for the #ARC 5mo

I loved this trilogy and I feel like this concluding volume ended in a way that made sense but boy am I salty about my fave lol. I think it's worse that I respect the ending despite my fave getting shafted. I'd still recommend this though because I was thoroughly entertained by the world and the characters.

TieDyeDude I forgot about this series. I really enjoyed the first book, despite it not being it's own complete story. 6mo

Lots of new books out today including the tagged one which is the [undoubtedly epic] conclusion to one of my all-time favorite fantasy series. There‘s a book about a nine-tailed fox and trickster god, The God and the Gumiho, a YA book set on the Blackfeet reservation, Looking for Smoke, and last but not least, a contemporary fantasy, The Wren in the Holly Library, set in NYC. This is one of those days I‘m super excited to be a reader, 📚📚📚

elkeOriginal Wren in the Holly Library sounds fun - love yours with the fancy edges! 6mo

My June #bookhaul so far! So excited the tagged book is finally published! I can‘t wait to pick it up. Also, I didn‘t realize the new Sarah Perry was published today too!

I also got my June #BOTM picks in. I didn‘t like any of the main options, so did a reader favorites and picked Five Broken Blades. Just because I wanted the add ons!
