Hey Littens! I'm hoping you can help. My nieces are visiting this weekend, and I always take them to the bookstore - but they've usually just gone to the toy section 🙄 the older one is 10 and has started reading Harry Potter (yay!) but the younger one is 7 and struggling with interest in books. However she LOVES to read to her aunt! ❤️ any advice for which books I should look for with her in mind?

LauraBeth When my daughter was 7 she read a lot of Junie B Jones books. And Amelia Bedelia 😀 8y

MeganAnn What other things is she interested in? I always try to find books that are about things I know they already like. For example, my son loved superheroes and monsters when he was little so we read so many cute superhero and monster picture books. My nephew is older and hates reading, but is really into WWII so I found a great book last year all about that and he loved it. Magic treehouse series has books about almost any topic you can think of 8y
saresmoore Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew, The Kingdom of Wrenly, Dory Fantasmagory, Magic Tree House, The Princess in Black ... These are all chapter book series with engaging storylines and simple enough text for young readers. Also all popular enough to find anywhere and with fun cover art! 8y
EvieBee This was a great mystery series that never bored me. I still read them! 8y

I found a list of the top 100 most often challenged books from 2000-2009. Out of those listed, I had read plenty of them, but do not own them. We do own the entire Junie B. Jones series and Bridge to Terabithia. I laughed when I saw that the Scary Stories series is on the list - it is one of our current library books! #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge #bannedbooks
