It‘s Field Day for the Sweet Valley Elementary School! They head to Secca Lake where nerdy Andy Franklin insists on searching for signs of UFOs. Jessica, Elizabeth, Todd, Winston, Lila, Ellen, Amy and Charlie all tag along after lunch to both tease and then get scared of what they find! Andy‘s bravery shines…but I don‘t really remember him in any of the other series! Plus the twins show off what three-legged race naturals they are!

JenlovesJT47 All this time I had him confused with Andy Jenkins in SVH, who is black. They straightened me out with this cover lol. But I don‘t remember this Andy in any of the other series! 3d

TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 I know in the SVU books one nerd comes back with a glow-up, but I think it‘s Randy Mason…. But maybe it is Andy Franklin? I don‘t remember! But he‘s for sure not in SVT (or at least not in any published through 1997!). I think Andy Jenkins is only in the SVH books! 3d

JenlovesJT47 Yeah this whole time I‘ve been reading these SVK books I really thought it was Andy Jenkins, but I was wrong! I like Andy in SVH, although he‘s not in it much except that one book that focuses on him

JenlovesJT47 I‘m trying to remember which person died in the earthquake besides Olivia (although I think she‘s alive and well in SVU, correct me if I‘m wrong lol 😳). I always get that person confused for some reason. Was it Ronnie Edwards, the one who dated Enid at one point? I get him mixed up with a couple of the others. Randy Mason is definitely in SVT and SVH. Can‘t wait to read the SVU books! 3d

Olivia comes back from the dead and dances with Ken in a little homecoming on a holiday break in SVU! 🤣 I only remember her dying, so anyone else will be a surprise to me, too! I forgot how the SVH series like the younger books introduces and then largely abandons characters! 3d

TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 I am having such fun with this re-reading!! I can‘t believe that I am nearing the end of the SVT books!! My unread pile is much smaller than it was!! 3d

JenlovesJT47 I‘m thoroughly enjoying it as well. They don‘t have book 30 in the SVK series on Anna‘s Archive so I have to buy it. But I love this read through of the SVT books, so many of the earlier books that I haven‘t read. 🤓 3d

TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 I know! These new (to me at least) ones are so fun! I wish all of them were on the archive! My missing ones aren‘t on there either… two aren‘t even for sale anywhere online that I have seen and the other two are just so oddly expensive that I can‘t bring myself to spend that much! I have a little time before I get to the unicorn club but I feel like I am not going to find them in time! 😭 3d

TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 I‘ve seen the last Unicorn club book as high as $300! I think a copy recently sold for $154 and now it‘s back to being unavailable! 3d

JenlovesJT47 Holy crap that‘s ridiculous. At least Tia In The Middle is on Anna‘s Archive. But you know, when the Unicorn Club books came out I bought the first 8 or 9 of them, then I don‘t remember seeing them in the store for the later books. Trust me, I looked several times a month at Walmart and Waldenbooks for SV books lol 😆 I do so wish I had bought them all as they came out, especially senior year. Live and learn! 🤓 3d

That is exciting… I wonder if it was added since I looked on there, because I could have sworn none of them were on the archive… though I only looked when you first told me about it! And yes— had I known, I would have kept buying too! I am just surprised at how few of any of them are in the used bookstores around me! I guess Sweet Valley fans are fans for life! 2d

JenlovesJT47 Yes, I‘ve gone to my local used bookstore several times over the past year and they never have any. I‘m on a list for them to call me if they get any, still waiting 😪 2d

TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 That‘s nice that they will call you! I‘ve had some luck at this store near my mom‘s house, but the owners aren‘t very organized (though very kind!) but I feel like I always see babysitter‘s club and Nancy Drew everywhere in comparison! 2d

JenlovesJT47 Yes they have TONS of Nancy Drew books at the used bookstore. This particular store used to be very disorganized and it was like going on a treasure hunt. They upgraded it a couple of years ago and it looks really nice but I confess I like it better the way it was before 😬 They always had stacks and stacks of ND books. 2d

TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 When I have plenty of time, I don‘t mind the extra hunt… except when you can‘t physically get to books because of other books that I don‘t like— this store has some shelves that are totally inaccessible! 2d
