pickA fast-paced, atmospheric sunset-noir that was a propulsive read. El Flamingo is imaginative storytelling that really transported me out of my life, into a Central American redemption tale, full of extreme wealth, mystery, double agents, faking it until you make it, violence, and the constant threat of danger. It‘s not longs but its action from start to finish, and it was a treat to be transported into this vibrant world.
