April‘s my birthday month, so I had another tough time narrowing this down to just one for the #12BooksOf2024, but how could I not go with my all-time favorite author, John Connolly?! The Charlie Parker series just gets better and better and each time I finish the latest, I just start counting down the days once more to his next! You can see my other top reads for the month from my planner!

TorieStorieS @TrishB He‘s just the best! My dad and father-in-law are also huge fans now! Between ARCs or ordering directly from Ireland, I always get to read it before them, but then my copies quickly make the rotation between us! My husband is a reluctant fiction reader but my goal for 2025 is to get him to at least read

Loved it ❤️ one of my fave series. Combining thriller and horror themes and generally set in creepy old Maine. Full of characters that you‘ve come to love over the last 20 books.

Oh, I just love this series! It‘s hard to believe this is the 21st book in the Charlie Parker series— this one harkens back to some of the earlier books in the series in a lot of ways— evil lurking in remote corners of Maine, a single case with threads with a further reach than at first visible. Fast-paced and thrilling, series regulars all appear here and the worst part, is that this starts the long wait for Connolly‘s next book all over again!
