Okay LMPBC Round 14 Group X peeps, here are the 4 books my son pulled for me to choose one from. I will tag them all on the comments. Thoughts? Is there ones here you have already read?

Enjoyed this exploration of the history of the North American coyote and the explanation of how, despite serious eradication efforts (and in fact as an unintended result of them), the coyote has now taken up residence in almost all of our urban cities. I live in Santa Fe…looking into the eyes of a coyote passing you on the street is a truly breathtaking experience. Has happened to me twice in the last couple of years.
#nonfiction2019 - Something with animals. My husband recommended this one and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Coyotes are cool! ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Kicking off my #bookfitnesschallenge tomorrow with this book! Will also fill a spot on my #nonfiction2019 BINGO board!
I love coyotes! And am blessed to have them near my house. I was so excited about this book but it fell short. There‘s some interesting tidbits. It is pro-coyote, so that part was good. There‘s two chapters going over the horrible ways humans have tried (unsuccessfully) to eradicate them. But there just wasn‘t that much information of interest here, unfortunately.
I saw a coyote in my neighborhood the other day. I know there are coyotes around here but I hadn't seen one before. Anyway, my coyote sighting inspired me to get this from the library.
“To confront a predator is to stand before the dual-faced god from our deep past. That is why we look longer, more intently, with more studied fascination at predators”
Such good writing and a lot to think about.
So I couldn't resist buying something. And I found so many to add to further reading lists. And for whomever might care I'm trying not to buy any more books until say December 20th or so 😉
Also in the background is Laila- my sister's cat.
Last day of vacation in Palo Alto! I've loved the weather and the indie bookstores in equal measure. Whenever I'm on vacation, I try to buy a non-fiction book that relates (even tangentially) to the region. Coyote America was my pick for this trip, from Books Inc. Once I'm home, I can revisit my book (and, in some measure, the trip I bought it on) whenever I like! Do others do this too?
