I love Jenny Hale Christmas books! This one was fairly emotional as it tackled grief, heartbreak, memory loss, infertility, and PTSD, but in the end love and Christmas heal everything in a very Hallmarky way.

pickI was pleasantly surprised by this book. I thought it was trying to do too much at first, but it all came together at the end. It felt comforting in a way, like it was what I needed to read right now. It had a strong focus on family while still dealing with real-life issues we face. I wouldn't say it is lighthearted, it definitely has some heavier emotions to it, but it left me feeling hopeful.
