After their father‘s death, sisters drift apart. Alaine into the family orchard, & Delphine into marriage w/ a businessman from the city. When Delphine‘s new husband turns out to be not what she wanted, Alaine must decide what she is willing to bargain to save her sister.

Interesting! Loved the magic & the complexity of the relationship between the sisters. The other characters felt a bit flat, & I would have liked more in fairy land. 🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑

Bailedbailed

The premise of this book was great, but I was so bored that I couldn‘t even finish it.

3✨ This was chosen by one of my book club members, so not something I would have picked up. While I like fairy stories, mystical bargaining is not my cup of tea. I do like how it was written, while I mixed up the two sisters as the POVs a few times I enjoyed the characters (except one- if you read it you know). It was on the predictable side so I had a sense of dread the majority of the story. I feel it stood out at the end, I‘m glad I continued.

I‘m finally out of all my time consuming extracurriculars! Luckily, I‘ve still been able to read a lot. For this #marvellousmarch readathon I would like to finish my #NancyDrewBR (a few more chapters) my #HTBC the tagged. I would also like to read my #FoodandLit for March. Plus 4 books I had in February. Since I will be on Spring break on Friday. I‘m really optimistic. 🥰💛

This was “meh” for me. Very predictable. The fun part was the beginning of each chapter that talked about fairy bargains and lore.

I‘m not a huge fantasy reader but I ended up really enjoying this one. An interesting spin on relationships, family traditions, superstitions, and fairy bargains. It was a little longer than it needed to be but the narrator definitely kept me listening through hours of chores, errands, and learning to crochet. Would definitely read this author again! 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I wanted to like this one more than I did. It's got a great premise but the story dragged for me. I did a fair bit of skimming, to be honest. Whilst not the worst fantasy read I've consumed, it's not the best either 🌟🌟🌟 at best.
