This was one of my favourite reads last year during #Scarathlon which is why I‘m recommending it for #HauntedShelf
It‘s a great slow build haunting book with secrets being revealed and a relationship developing between the main characters

Perfect for fans of Cemetery Boys and The Magnus Archives, embodying horror, tragedy, and resilience through the lens of a non-binary Brujo and a transgender cleaner who combine their powers to exorcise a haunted house. Moon's prose is hypnotic. Heart, Haunt, Havoc is a novella that packs quite a punch and is an absolute feast for the imagination. Bishop and Colin were an enchanting duo, offering depth and introspection to sink your teeth into.
A very atmospheric story about a haunted house. The owner of the house is being haunted and hires someone to cleanse it. The secrets of the house and owner slowly get revealed as the step progresses.
This was such a quick read, but that‘s not to say there wasn‘t a lot to enjoy! The whole book follows two characters as they try to clean a house of its ghosts. Finding out who the ghosts are and their connection to the owner is the plot of the book. Lots of different kinds of magic and memory. Really really liked it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Impulse buy to finish out the trans rights read a thon! It‘s only 150 pages, and it‘s a gothic horror, haunted house story. Two of my favorite things. 👻
I LOVED THIS. One of the best books I've read this year, and it's only 153 pages! Magic (of various kinds), romance, horror, queer main characters, resilience.
I'm definitely going to read more from this talented author.
Third book for the #transrightsreadathon complete.
