pickThis was a really good read about an aspect of British history that I didn't know much about - the North Berwick witch trials. The reader gets to see what is happening from two perspectives, Geillis & Lady Margareta. Both characters (based on actual people) have their good points & their faults but it was easy to empathise with them, although I found Margareta a little naïve at times when it came to playing politics, (continued)

I thought this was wonderful and a real tear jerker at times
