#Roll100 I think the universe is trying to tell me something with #66 showing up two months in a row. Think I will start it tomorrow.

I listened to this one, and I'm glad I did because I might have bailed on it as a book. It's another short read on the #tob24 long list.
I really don't have much to say about this one. Overall, it was just okay for me. I think had I read this in my 20s, I might have connected with it more.
Perhaps I'm too old and jaded now to fully appreciate the wanderlust of this journey. 😁
I neither liked nor disliked this Bildungsroman about a young kid who drops out of college and gets his heart broken by some interesting (weird) women as he drifts around the northern US in his 20s. I felt the sexual humor was sophomoric and prurient, and there wasn‘t much meat (I guess) to the story to attach me to the MC. The stoner philosophizing just isn‘t my thing. Glad I borrowed from #hoopla. I did enjoy the audio narration. 🤷🏻♀️ #tob24
I think trying to cram shorter #tob24 books in before leaving on vacation was a mistake because I am not liking any of them and am starting to feel like a contrarian. Honestly I knew from the start I should have bailed on this one. I found it painful rather than funny but the audiobook was short and I was afraid things would improve and I would miss out.
There I am, listening to this story while driving from Burlington VT to Maine, and all of a sudden Maloney is describing how he lived in Burlington for years AND Maine! It all felt a bit surreal. I swear I must have seen this guy in Burlington. Anyway, this is a story of his life which had me chuckling thru most of it & a short 4-hour listen. I'm surprised it's on the #TOB24 list but if you're looking for something light, it's worth a listen.
