I was excited to read a mystery set in my home province; however, so far it is trying too hard to have Canadian references (and needs a better editor). It might be worth finishing just for the fun of the awkward similes, though.

"The small town, nestled deep in the mountains in the interior of British Columbia, was a magnet for drifters. Along with more than its share of artists, the comfortably retired and Internet workers."

First in the Constable Molly Smith mystery series. It was just okay. I found my mind drifting from time to time - many characters were introduced in the beginning, but some not reintroduced again until much later in the book. I'm also a tad put out with the treatment Molly receives from everyone in her life.

Starting this one tonight...discussing it with my mystery group later on this week. This should keep me occupied during the season finale of Once Upon a Time's commercials.
