I‘ve always been a fan of Chris Van Allsburg‘s illustrations, and this collection of stories by a variety of other authors illuminates his already impressive work.

14 awesome authors take on short stories to describe the pictures in Chris Van Allsburg's picture book, The Mysteries of Harris Burdick. This is a middle grades / YA book that was a lot of fun.
Veggies are ready to go, steaks are on the grill and my awesome daughter made me a Jameson & Vernors....life doesn't get much better. Cheers to a great weekend!
Lavishly illustrated (as with all Van Allsburg does), this collection of stories from a wide range of authors (like Stephen King, Sherman Alexis, Lois Lowry, and Kate DiCamillo) imagines the stories behind the slyly captioned pictures of The Mysteries of Harris Burdick (published in 1984).
For #augustphotochallenge #day16, I've picked this collection of stories for my #faveauthorcollab. It features 14 drawings, each with a mysterious caption, by "Harris Burdick." These are supposedly illustrations for Burdick's lost stories. A wide selection of authors contributed stories to go with the drawings. So much fun!
