Just an absolutely very interesting account of the development of hostage negotiation techniques over the course of Noesner‘s career with the FBI. I learned more about the development of this field of work than I expected to, and found that particularly interesting. Noesner doesn‘t scrimp on the inside goss on all the hostage crises/sieges we all want to know about. A+ audio.

Just finished watching this on Netflix. I went on Amazon to order 2 books (1 that the show is based on) and they are sold out! Guess everyone else had the same idea.

LoverOfLearning The Waco siege is described really well in this tagged book. It's well-written and one of my favorite autobiographies. I think you'll like it.

Interesting audio on Noesner's experience as an FBI hostage negotiator -- both for his personal experiences in high stakes situations as well as for the lessons that apply in everyday life -- keep focused on your end goal, don't mistake revenge for your actual goal, and sometimes buying time puts you in a better spot. Solid read.
