

🎧 Well this is a difficult review because I feel or hope that this book is the foundation from which 3 better books will flower.
Slow doesn‘t come close to describing the pacing.
This civilization communicates in poses. It takes “strike a pose” to new levels. Intriguing.
We‘re slowly immersed in politics. So political. So slow.
Still. I‘m interested to see where this goes as it feels like it has a hook of uniqueness.

Several things make me think this is a book with an Asian flavor which I also find an interesting spin.
Basically I didn‘t love or hate this book but I‘ll use it as a springboard to get to books 2 - 4! Also trust in the author! He‘s half The Expanse‘s James SA Corey writing team. 4y
