Still entertaining but not as good as his first two. I love Adams dry humour, but I really missed the diary entries from his previous books. I found this more depressing than I did funny. Kudos to him for baring all, though, that took some guts.
Adams London Marathon training is underway 🤦♀️🤣
Finished Undoctored and a short story Mixtapes and Rollerskates yesterday (which is not in the Litsy database).
Undoctored did not disappoint. Much more vulnerable than his previous 2 memoirs. I am glad he decided to include the section on disordered eating. The epilogue mentions it was nearly scrapped. He is such an important voice for the advocacy of mental health in healthcare. ⬇️
Some of you might remember how excited so was to read this back in September when it was released. I have been checking dutifully every time I get an audible credit but it hasn‘t been available in the states… till now. 🥲 I am sure the US audible release coincides with the paperback release— which is today 🥳💚
Just as good as Kay's first memoir. Less haha funny, more honest and vulnerable. This book is an important contribution to a conversation about navigating significant changes in lives, and traumatic experiences. I was glad I listened to it, because Kay's narration really brings these stories to life.
When I tell you how much I was looking forward to starting this book today 🤡 I haven‘t seen a US publication date yet. 🥲
