Does exactly what it says on the tin. Satisfactory mystery. Detectives are a bit meh on the page. Would make a good tv series. #titlesandtunes #islandvibe

I went a little off the beaten path. #TitlesandTunes
Set on the Isle of Anglesey with a Northern Ireland connection, song also has a N.I. connection.

This is the second book in the series. Love the MC, Laura. She is a brilliant Detective. The story was fast paced and I never saw the end coming. Looking forward to her next adventure and to see where the relationship with Gareth will go. 4⭐️ #LitsyLoveReads

Laura Hart, after two months and the kidnapping of her son, has re-joined the force as a DI. Jamie McCann has disappeared without a trace twenty years ago but a skeleton has been found near a seaside town of Beaumaris, Anglesey. Laura‘s investigation leads her to MI5 and the Real IRA but nobody seems to want their secrets to come out.

EadieB This turned out to be a really interesting book after a bit of a slow start. The twists and turns about midway forced me to read without putting the book down until the cliffhanger of a finish. I am now looking forward to Blood On The Shore, the 3rd book in The Anglesey Series. If you like a thrilling mystery, then you would love this book. 2y
EadieB Simon McCleave is a writer that knows how to deliver an exciting adventure with every read. Thanks to NetGalley and Avon Books for a copy for an honest review. 2y

Andrew65 I really enjoyed this one and helped that it was based around Beaumaris, an area I know well as we had a holiday near the Castle there a few years ago. 2y
EadieB @Andrew65 well that must have been nice to holiday near the castle! 2y
Andrew65 @EadieB It‘s a lovely area of Anglesey. 2y

Another enjoyable book by this impressive author. Set on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales about a DI who returns to the Police after leaving following the death of her husband on duty in Manchester. The main case is linked to the discovery of a 20 year old body which has links to Northern Ireland. Alongside this more of the story to her husband‘s death is revealed and Laura also takes a leap into a new relationship.
This book is a winner!

Andrew65 This is the second book in this series and is published in early January. @EadieB @Tove_Reads 2y
EadieB Good review! Can‘t wait to read it 2y
Bookwomble This made me have a gander at the Anglesey crime statistics - it's not exactly downtown Detroit, nor even downtown Ponytpridd! 😆 2y

Started reading ‘In Too Deep‘ by Simon McCleave, the second book in the Anglesey Series which will be published in January. Really enjoyed the fast paced action and characterisation of the first one.

Thanks to the author, publisher and @NetGalley for a review copy of the book for an open and honest review. @Tove_Reads @EadieB

Tove_Reads Still have a few books before this one, since I read NG books in pub date order. 2y
Andrew65 @Tove_Reads You‘re obviously more disciplined than me 🤣 2y
EadieB I‘m not ready for this one yet got a lot of NG books to read! (edited) 2y
Andrew65 @EadieB Me to but couldn‘t help advancing this one. 2y
Tove_Reads I just feel like it‘s fair to both the publishers and authors. 2y

Tove_Reads I didn‘t get it 😭 first one ever from Avon. I think I‘ll only request from bookouture in the future, since they don‘t care that my home address is not in 🇬🇧 or 🇺🇸 @andrew65 @eadieb 2y
EadieB @Tove_Reads I was turned down too! 2y
