This is the first book in what is up to now a two book series. It is a story about an assassin used by governments around the world and a great choice for fans of books such as the “Orphan X“ series. The book has action & violence, complemented with some romance and humour. Many of the the characters have hard backstories that explain their life choices. In this book the hero is tasked with finding and killing the man who came before him. 4.25/5

You know when your music streaming service plays you music based on other stuff you like? I think thats how i only recently stumbled onto Troye Sivan‘s 2018 album Bloom, but in particular this song Seventeen Ive been playing and replaying.

This sounded like a fast-paced action-packed read, but the first half was surprisingly mundane. Somewhere around the 48% mark, I was really beginning to regret not DNF-ing this one, but the author actually pulled it round in the second half of the book, & I ended up being glad I hadn't quit.

If you like action thrillers which don't worry too much about characterisation, you'd probably enjoy this. 3.5🌟
