The protagonist and what kind of person she is. 🥰 Her views. Her family and her relationship with her father. Loved that perfume business plot line. I also was highly interested in all that fishing stuff – although I was feeling very sick after listening to a certain scene during lunch.

Towards the end it lost a bit. It became too genre like. But I want more by this author‼️

Just this once I didn‘t manage to read/finish listening during the lending period. So I needed to borrow it again right away after it expired. And at first, that didn‘t work. I was very frustrated but also realised that my library has the e-book, too And so I decided to go for this if I can‘t have the audiobook.

Well, 8 hours later I was able to check out the audiobook again.

So there I was.

📚I pass. That‘s not how my category of “favourite” works. I‘m sorry. 🤷🏽‍♀️

🐳 Funny that you‘re asking. No. But weirdly both, my current book (🇬🇧 “Silver Bay”) and my current audiobook (🇬🇧 “North of Boston”) deal with either whales 🐋 or industrial fishing 🏭 🎣 .

I pulled this book from my physical TBR solely because the spine matched my Red/White/Blue theme for my #BookSpinBingo stack. What a fun unpredictable mystery with an interesting and likeable MC - perfume company beneficiary turned cold water swimming expert - turned amateur sleuth. It was fun to read this come together.
