Always a fun, easy read.
The epitome of beach read. Always an easy, enjoyable read.

I really enjoy her writing. The characters were well thought out and had a lot of personality. I didn't want this story to end but was satisfied when it did. I guessed somethings correctly, some not. The only thing that bothers me about this author is that she feels she needs to add "woke" things into it when it doesn't fit the characters overall personality at all. It makes me roll my eyes. Feels forced and out of place. But overall, I LOVE it!!
This book was so much fun to read. What does one do when her husband has left her for a younger richer woman? Lillie comes up with all kinds of ideas. Then that woman gets pregnant and Lillie is the midwife that finds herself delivering that woman‘s baby. My first book by Kristan Higgins and I look forward to reading more of her books.
I so enjoyed this book! On the eve of their son's graduation, Lillie's husband abruptly leaves her to be with the wealthy newcomer in town. One POV is even told by said "other woman", which seemed odd at first and then became super entertaining. Lillie can't help but throw a few hilarious, harmless pranks their way (letting a skunk into their house for one, haha) but ultimately discovers she's way better off. A perfect beachy escape! 4⭐️
I really loved this story of two women and their individual journeys. Our two characters are a nurse/midwife whose husband seeminglyy leaves her out of nowhere and the woman he leaves her for. You will wonder why you are getting the other woman‘s view point, but it is also an amazing journey. Though this may be marketed this as such, this is not a romance. It is really a journey of two women and I loved it. 5⭐️

I preordered this book from Barnes & Noble. I received this book in June and I forgot to post about it on here. I looked through my posts on here because I thought I posted it on here but I realized that I never did. This is the second book I own by Kristan Higgins and I still haven‘t read anything by her. I love this book cover. I don‘t know what this book is about but I‘m looking forward to reading it.
Part 1/2
What a fortuitous (Word of the day! 😉) delight! It was so nice to get lost in these characters' lives and relish their slices of life on the Cape. Quite a few hilarious farcical (Word of the day! 🤣) situations and laugh out loud moments which are infrequent for me! I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to escape the current ugliness in this country.
“Just in time for summer, OUT OF THE CLEAR BLUE SKY is the perfect beach read— a funny and surprising novel about a woman forced to redefine herself when her husband‘s infidelity…”
