Originally published in Unknown Worlds magazine, 1942, salvaged from utter obscurity by the author's friend and series editor of Ballantine Adult Fantasy, Lin Carter, to sink back into relative obscurity as, going by the reviews of others, it's not that good. However, I'm not looking for deep at the moment, so sailing shallow waters may be just the thing, & Carter's introduction paints such a lovely picture of Bok that I'm happy to give him a try.
DrexEdit That's an attractive/appealing cover illustration also! 3y
Bookwomble @DrexEdit It was the cover that first caught my eye 😊 An interesting choice of somebody else's artwork, as Bok was primarily an illustrator, had done cover art for this story, but it wasn't used in either magazines or book publication 🤷🏻♂️ The one they went with is good though, a nice wraparound cover 😊 3y
