I am a huge fan of Karen Beaumont, and when put together with David Catrow perfection can be attained. I love that Catrow chose to make a POC the title character. I love how the author talks about being perfect as long as you like yourself, it doesn't matter what others say. Pure Perfection.

I love everything about this book! This book is about a young, African American girl who loves herself for who she is. The genre of this book is P and RF. This story can be used in the classroom to teach students to appreciate themselves for who they are no matter what anyone has to say or think. britt_brooke @RiotMom They are so cute and funny! My boys are not old enough to watch the movies yet, but we recently started allowing them to watch the Lego Star Wars cartoon on Amazon Instant Video and they are OBSESSED. It's really good and so funny! Darth Vader is a total goofball on it. 8y
