She can tell that Siennas glossy veneer is papering over cracks, too. In their loneliness, the two women become fast friends, their lives soon entwined. But when Abby finds herself unexpectedly alone with Siennas husband, Greg, after a dinner party, she finds theres something very charming about him. Inviting, even. And something happens that night that neither she nor Greg can ever take back. Abby is desperate to tell her husband and Sienna the truth about what happened, but with Greg holding another huge secret over her, she finds herself silenced. And then the unthinkable happens. Greg disappears. Is he simply running from his secrets? Or has Abby silenced him forever, in order to protect hers? Mehso-so

It was a fun book to follow but I found it definitely dragged out at some points. Abby and her husband move to a new town and she makes fast friends with Sienna. After a dinner party one night, Sienna suggests swapping husbands (like wife swap the show) but what happens that night will haunt all of them from that point forward…

A somewhat involved story with so many twists and turns I could hardly keep up. It started well with character development and backgrounds set, and as the tale got underway I was swept away by the intrigue.

Meh. You know those people who post vague status updates on Facebook, hoping you'll either ask them about it, and you just end up filling in the blanks yourself, concocting a ridiculous narrative about their VagueBooking? That is what this felt like.

At the end of a drunken dinner party with her friend Abby and their husbands, Sienna suggests they swap husbands for the night. No sex, just a change of pace. Oddly, the other three go along ⬇️

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick with it. Days later, one of the men disappear. Sienna heard one sentence and assumed she knew what Abby was talking about. Abby's POV told us vaguely about something pertinent to the arc, but you're just left wondering WTF she's talking about. The overall turn of events was interesting in theory, but this felt terribly repetitive with all the internal dialogue GUESSING what was happening. If only people opened up to the police or asked ⬇️ 2y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick questions...UGH. This just felt tedious and by about 40% through I wanted the big twist to be that they all disappeared. I wasn't that lucky.

Thanks to #netgalley for the ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review. Over a boozy dinner with your best friend and her husband you decide to go home with each other's husband's for the night. The rules are simple no sleeping together. Not long after one of the husband's goes missing....is it linked to the secrets shared that night during the partner swap?! Another very engaging suspenseful read from Kathyrn Croft, she never disappoints. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
