I think I like this one more than the first one. It was over too quickly. I felt like I was only reading it for 10 minutes. I would have loved it to be longer.

This fast paced comic was as good as the last in the series. Maybe even better. Or perhaps I just have a soft spot for magical tournaments. Either way, the characters were still amazing and I‘ve come to care for them more throughout this second book. Well, on to book three!

“There‘s always a line between truth and legend.”
“Fear is no excuse for tyranny.”
“Pride kills more than men.”
“Magic may be infinite. But spells are made by men.”
“Still sulking?”
“Princes don‘t sulk, Isra. They contemplate.”
“Huh. Looks an awful lot like sulking to me.”
Still having some difficulty determining the exact nature of some of the magical powers in this series, but flinging sharp objects is easy to understand even if you don't know what they are made of. Pretty cool story of a young hothead trying to be accepted among those he is sent to lead.
LOVED! This was an amazing sequel, I absolutely loved how this story unfolded with the tournament that anyone can enter. #Scarathlon2021 #TeamHendrix #AuthorAMonth #20in4Readathon +36 pts
