I really enjoyed this book about a transgender teen pursuing his acting dreams. It‘s heartbreaking, infuriating, but also warm and fuzzy! It brings to light issues that transgender people face, but another important message is that found family is sometimes better than the family you‘re born into.
#bookspinbingo - got a second bingo!
#booked2023 - book with a trans or non-binary person
A former student of mine came by to visit and said, “I just finished a book that you have to read!” That doesn‘t happen everyday, so of course I got it. My former student is transgender and so is the protagonist. Awesome and realistic story. I work with several lgbtq+ kids and it always helps to read of experiences others have had. Awesome story, that will make others realize that they are wonderful as they are!
Hot off the Libby presses, this #graphicnovel about a trans teen pursuing his acting dream.
On my hook: a cardigan for my son, in his favourite colour.
