This book about the early 20th archaeological explorations by Britts under the city of Jerusalem is a mess. Which is too bad, because it actually does a great job with the archaeology itself! I couldn‘t stand the organization, the fictionalized conversations and internal monologues, and how it jumped around in time and among minor characters‘ povs. Read at your own risk I guess.
