The 5th book in the Sloan Krause cozy mystery series, this one wasn't necessarily my favorite, but there were parts of it that I liked a lot more than the other books in the series. All in all, I really enjoyed reading this entire series!

Oh my goodness @catiewithac !!!! Thank you so much. What a wildly beautiful #jolabokaflodswap gift to unwrap. The paper crane is beautiful. Every detail lovely. And I am SO excited for your choice of book and chocolates.
We decided to start this tradition as a family. But because we have a 6 year old and a 10 month old we go to bed really early 😅 so we opened early in the day to read throughout the day. Thank you again!!
@MaleficentBookDragon

SamanthaMarie Also my little ten month old thinks he's getting my chocolate. Not a chance! 😉❤🎄🎁 2y

What a great addition to the Sloan Krause series!! These books always make me want to drink a beer! The only downfall was that the end read like the conclusion of the series and I sure hope that isn‘t true… I want to spend more time in Leavenworth!!

SamanthaMarie I need to get this one!!! I love the Sloan mysteries. Have you read The Bakeshop series by Ellie?? 3y
Kshakal @SamanthaMarie yes!!! One of my favorite series!! 3y
SamanthaMarie Ellie Alexander is definitely at the top of my list for favorite authors. She's so good!! I've been briefly to both Ashland and Leavenworth in my early 20s and I love getting to visit them over and over through her books 😀 3y
Kshakal @SamanthaMarie I love that… they are in my list to visit for sure! 3y

Love this one!
1. I prefer crime novels but will throw in a cozy mystery from time to time.
2. A crime novel involves someone at least indirectly involved in law enforcement or investigation (police detective, private investigator, lawyer). A cozy involves someone whose job is entirely removed from law enforcement, such as a chef or dog groomer or baseball player. Often there‘s food and/or puns.

What a great addition to the series! Great to check in on our favourite Bavarian tourist town and brewing family, the mysteries were suspenseful, and the conclusion so satisfying! I loved reading about everyone coming together and finally getting Sloan‘s history!! I am sad though as the it almost read like that could be a satisfying conclusion to the series.
