Went a bit too fast over big earth-shaking stuff, but there were some intriguing ideas (like the trans folks forming a Rookery together, and mostly just the idea of a dragon vet).

I feel like it could've been a fascinating novel, or with less scope a solid novella, but as it was it felt rushed.

Have you read any of Joyce Chng‘s work yet? No? Get to it! This Singaporean indie author tells gorgeous tales of transformation - expect magic, dragons, werewolves (in space!), vineyards, and - if you‘re lucky - bonus recipes (mmm).

I‘m looking forward to reading Dragon Physician next: dragon racing and dragon vets? Oh yes!
