This was an interesting audio listen. You kind of have to follow their social media to understand some of it, but over all it was a great book.

I will preface to say that I'm not exactly fans of their internet channels, though my spouse is. She listened to the book, and then I took my stab at it. While they are engaging and do their best to keep the listener entertained, the book winds up feeling disjointed and seems to distort or even more dangerously sugar coats the worst times. The advice is mostly universally applicable and I find some to be quite helpful. Overall a 3.5/5.

My first Bookspin of the year complete. I have ready plenty of other books, I promise.
This one I picked up because I love watching their videos and found an audio recording to listen to on my trip to IL and back this weekend. It was just as entertaining as their social media videos.
This was really cute! I always love seeing their videos whenever I‘m browsing around on Facebook and they always put a smile on my face. Kim and Penn are really relatable as a couple and I really enjoy the way that they present things. They make a lot of good points and really brought up a lot of things that I hadn‘t thought of before. Definitely worthwhile to read this one!! Audio is probably best for this book, though!!
I‘m definitely the target audience for this book. My husband & I aren‘t dealing w/major issues, but we frequently fight about small stuff that feels big. They‘re real issues that can cause major problems, but they‘re not insurmountable. The Holderness family is the same. I loved the couple‘s honesty, vulnerability & humor, especially in the audio version. They tackle communication styles & rules for how to fight. I found it helpful & entertaining.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I don‘t think I‘ve ever read a relationship book, but I wanted to support these fine, hilarious folks after following them on social media ➡️ “The Holderness Family.” Their clever videos have been a bright spot during COVID. Self-help is not usually my jam, but I really enjoyed and learned from this, jotting mental notes as I listened. Kim and Penn are super funny and lovable, too, so that added to the experience.
🎧👟⛅️ Evening #audiowalk. The air is thick, y‘all.
Enjoying the tagged book so far. I love Kim and Penn, and “The Holderness Family” on social media (funny videos and song parodies), so I though I‘d give their new book a go.
