I highly recommend this book to People with ADHD, people with children with ADHD, people who are curious about neurodivergence and ADHD, counselors, teachers, medical professionals, friends of people with ADHD, coaches…. It is fairly succinct. Informative. Strategy and Solution focused, validating and science based.
When I taught a special education class in CO I was very lucky- the principal let me use my methods- my way. One of the most

Chrissyreadit important things i did was start every day with a run/walk- kids who ran came with me, kids who walked with my side. The results of progress for my class were significant and acknowledged at the County level- with All kids benefit from movement and outside time when possible. My greatest moments of anxiety and depression- after days of limited mobility- If there is one thing i would change in our education system it would be more time for 9mo
Chrissyreadit movement- running, walking, yoga, dance, any movement at any level of ability. And stop putting learning into a one size fits all structure. We know emphatically it does not work. 9mo

This one is a low pick for me. It‘s a good primer for someone that‘s newly diagnosed & wants a crash course about ADHD by the OGs of ADHD. With that being said my biggest hang up is the discussions of brain balance centers. I know some people have found them as a source of help. But they are extraordinarily expensive & it‘s based on pseudoscience. Give me some peer reviewed data & ok. That‘s just my personal hang up as a social scientist. Overall

ncsufoxes Though it does give some good info & good tips/refreshers for those immersed in the world of ADHD (2 out of my 3 kids have ADHD). #bookspin book 14mo

This was another read from 2022. This is targeted more for people with ADHD than people associated with ADHD but it is still extremely helpful insight for us non adhd-ers. My husband found this book life changing as someone who was diagnosed late in life. If ya need some help, give this book a shot.

Tip for ADHD Readers: If listening to music, burning a candle, having sensory blankets and plushies aren't helping to keep focused on a book. Try reading a few. I usually read a few books all at one time that way when my brain becomes disinterested after a chapter or two I change to a different story. With this in mind here's a recommendation!!
