My 2024 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Loved having this read to me by Nigella whilst following along in print. Her enthusiasm for food is infectious & her passion for pleasure, adaptation & full flavour. Each chapter begins with rumination on a theme, then chat recipes, and then the recipes themselves. She swops things in and out with availability and seasons and sent me back into the kitchen excited to see what was in the fridge! Also appreciated her contentions to ‘solo supper‘.
I‘m really enjoy this - I‘m listening to the audio and reading along. Never done this before with a cook book and it‘s a really a lovely experience. Highly recommend it.
I was listening to a podcast this week that talked about Immersive Reading - Reading a physical book whilst simultaneously listening to the audio. I‘m going to give it a go. I picked this one because who doesn‘t like the idea of Nigella talking about food she loves!
I‘m definitely a Feast kinda gal!

I made the fish stew from COOK, EAT, REPEAT for supper. It was good, but I dunno if I WILL repeat it. I kept comparing it to Keralan fish curry, which I like much better and which takes waaaaay less time to make.
Love it! Just can‘t decide which recipes to cook first!
I reserved and then borrowed this from the local library as I wanted to see if it was worth buying. I should‘ve known better.....I‘m halfway through and I want to cook just about all of the recipes!! I love Nigella! Her recipes are easy to follow and always work out. I‘m adding this book to my ‘To buy‘ list.
I don‘t know that I‘ve gone thru Lawson‘s other cookbooks, but I did like her show that was filmed at home where she made home/family style food that was quick and easy. (From what I recall.) This book is more “cheffy” style with ingredients not commonly found here in my local area and in general a tad more complicated. Weekend cooking maybe. I only found this one recipe I‘d like to try.
Lots of essay writing included in this one too.
