pickA little bit funny, a little bit sad and a lot weird (the good kind). A murder has occurred in the hotel room of infamous boy band the Wildboyz - a group of human/animal hybrids - and it looks like one of the members is to blame. This novella managed to flesh out all the characters quickly and I found the mystery satisfying, if brief. I would read a whole series on Detective Luce Delgado, I loved her 😍. pickThe WyldBoyz are part human, part animal and also a famous rock band while the rest of the world are just human. They've never discussed publicly how they came to be, they just decided to be famous! Now there has been a murder and they have to make sure none of them are considered the killer. The twist at the end, the science fiction aspects just built such a weird story. I loved it! Now I need to read more books by Gregory cause this was great!

I‘m pretty sure it was @Liberty on All The Books who talked up this novella earlier this week. I have never read THE ISLAND OF DR MOREAU, but as soon as she said this book was a locked room mystery with animal-human hybrids, I immediately bought the ebook after seeing that my library didn‘t have it.
It was a deliciously quick read, perfect for a weekend camping trip. 🐾
