I‘m not sure why I borrowed this for three weeks from my online library. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Couldn‘t stop listening. And now I can‘t return it earlier. 😳 (Same procedure with every audiobook. 🙄)

What in the end keeps my head busy about this one is that I am not on his side but I do consider Dr. Dettore‘s arguments about social skills and behaviour in groups catchy anyway … Phew.

I like how Peter James deals with the subject. Not too much by the numbers. Someone who reads more of this genre might feel so but I liked the more realistic, balanced approach and I really feel with John and Naomi as the offspring grows. Being them I would have been more sceptical in the beginning but a plot needs compromises.

The end caught me by surprise.

The book leaves me thinking about humankind. Entertaining with a plus.

Well. Uhm.
Hooked. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Might be there‘s no “Der Geschmack des Wassers” for me today. Approximately two of seven hours “done” – and still counting.

Interesting so far.

Weird to restart an audiobook whose period of loan expired because my commute distance during the last, dunno, two weeks has diminished significantly.

But the plot sounds interesting: genetic engineering 🧬. A topic I was sick and tired of at the end of school, shortly before A-levels.

But now: If the plot is researched well – let the show begin.

Oh my goodness this book was AMAZING! Absolutely blown away, a roller coaster ride from start to finish! The book focuses on the morality of creating "designer babies" and what could possibly happen if one went too far down that road and how other people with different beliefs might react. This was my first book by Peter James and I will be definitely looking for more of his work in the future.
5/5 ⭐

I am absolutely speechless! Incredibly important & interesting topic, fantastic character development, & just the right amount of spookiness 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I don't remember the last time a book consumed me like this one did - I just couldn't get enough! 💯 I feel a major case of book hangover coming...

There is no such thing as too many books 📚 what a successful morning at the library! Now comes the agony of choice though: which one do I read first...?

Casmt The Heart Goes Last!!! I'm nearly finished it. Can't wait to get into her other books! 9y
