#ARichLife Day 9: #Bounty - posting in advance as it will be my mother‘s first death anniversary on the 10th of this month, and may take a breather from social media.
pickEven as someone who reads poetry every day I don‘t find Adrianne Rich‘s work easy to parse. Her pieces are dense & rich & have new layers of meaning that reveal themselves with each subsequent reading. It was important to Rich for people to understand the progression of her work so each poem she published was dated & the editors of this collection really emphasized that. I made that progression my focus, but I know I‘ll go back to this & reread.
