One of my #Roll100 picks this month is already off the table at just 20 minutes in. I choose my books somewhat at random, which makes me pick up books I might hate because there have been several times when a book I thought I'd hate turned out to be a fun book. I'm bailing on this one because I really hate popularity contest books, and so far this book has hit every checkmark for why I hate them.

I am ready for February's #Roll100 and will read at least one of these!

This book started out strong, but I felt that the end was anticlimactic and disappointing. It definitely would have been better if there was a sequel. I never liked Stella, I thought she was too flirty, so that didn‘t help.

Every year, the creator of Golden Rule invites 6 members of the app to come to her house. No one knows what goes on inside, just that players walk away rich. But this year, the game seems dangerous. 3⭐️

And done! A great book for when you need a palate clenser (if you're me and read waaaaay to many fantasy books), with a fun game plot, & no dead bodies if you're looking for a light mystery read.

CW for burried alive & the trauma that invokes; manipulation; dead parents; overly protective & borderline abusive parents; perhaps spoiler but there's a wee bit with gun-like sounding shots but it's not what it seems; & sorry if I missed anything else

Restarted this beauty because it deserves my full attention since library books are done. I'm dubbing this a #nonviolentmystery, the mystery being why a reclusive heiress-turned actress-turned social media creator disapeared for a year to then reappear and announce the last Golden Weekend, invite six people from her video sharing platform to her estate, and sketchily force them to play a game...😳

You know when you start a book and then stop because you know you're going to love it and need to read it on a day you won't be distracted? Yeah, that was this book. Mysterious game put together by rich person is not always my thing, but when the game is being played by folks who know to treat it like a game, I found this so fun.
