This was a pretty cute but forgettable book about a Jersey cow named Susannah who moves with her family from Virginia to the wilds of frontier Indiana. It was fun but lacked a lot of details about pioneer life since it was more about the cow haha still I would have loved this one when I was little & the easy reader aspect makes it a fun book for younger readers.

Wife Looks like a sweet book. And the cow reminds me of Elsie the Borden Cow that advertised dairy products 🐄 4y

TheAromaofBooks @MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm @Wife - This author wrote several books about pioneer families (I grew up reading Caroline & Her Kettle Named Maud) but they were all published in 1930s & 40s so I'm not sure how many are still in print/if you can find them. I seem to have accumulated them from various secondhand sources over the years 😂 (edited) 4y
