#SpringSentiments Day 27: There is a feeling of being #exalted now that our little brown family has decided to send daughter to Seattle University for college. Apart from the strong Filipino community on campus, I think our decision was made for us when SU‘s President, a Jesuit Priest, read aloud from Mary Oliver‘s “Hummingbird” in his welcome speech to the 900 students admitted (out of 8000 applicants). Plus, the 22k/year scholarship helps a lot.

Daughter was especially intrigued by the college essay prompt of Seattle University which involved her writing about a playlist on what she imagines her college experience would be. Recipient of the Seattle University Academic Achievement Scholarship for 4 years - we are beyond thrilled and immensely proud.
