2 posts | 2 read | 2 to read
The inimitable Ruth Bader Ginsburg, an associate justice of the US Supreme Court, embodies the power of persistence and integrity. Throughout her legal career, spanning nearly five decades, she has been an unwavering force for progress and a leading voice for equality and justice. Here, she reflects on her many years of service to the law, as well as her family life and struggle with cancer. With disarming honesty, Ginsburg discusses everything from gender equality and fitness to literature and the importance of hard work. Strong, hopeful, and wise, her words stand as a guide for budding feminists and those who fight for justice around the world. Created in collaboration with the Nelson Mandela Foundation, I Know This to Be True is an uplifting new series inspired by his legacy. Extraordinary figures from diverse backgrounds answer the same questions, sharing their compelling stories, guiding ideals, and insightful wisdom. The result is a collection brimming with messages of leadership, courage, compassion, and hope. Delivered in lovely, giftable hardcovers with vivid photographic portraits throughout, these books offer encouragement and guidance to graduates, future leaders, and anyone hoping to make a positive impact on the world.

Slim but good. For me this was a borrow not buy kind of book. It was a little too short but otherwise I liked it.

Record of one of her interviews, with lots of quotes.
I did have a giggle about her advice for a long and happy marriage- sometimes you have to be a bit deaf 😁❤️ RIP a truly inspirational woman.

MsMelissa I actually am hard of hearing (I wear hearing aids), and let me tell you that while not being able to hear everything is often frustrating, I have to admit it is sometimes useful 😂 4y
Hooked_on_books I love how unafraid she was to express herself. We could all learn from her example in many ways. She was a badass broad. 💪🏼 4y
TrishB @Book_Fiend_Melissa my sister wears hearing aids, she strategically turns them down sometimes! 4y
TrishB @Hooked_on_books she certainly was. 4y
