#DailyCheckIn

TrishB Glad you got some down time Andrew. I worked this afternoon but got 4 papers written which had to be done by Tuesday, so am relieved and won‘t be panicking tomorrow. Reading and relaxing now before we go again! 4y
TheBookHippie Slept late- crashing today.. the week has caught up to me 🤣 4y

CocoReads Sounds like you were able to get so@e relaxing in. My shoulder and next are much better today and I‘ve done a lot of reading. Back to work to@Oreos but feel better. Friends finally got their negative Covid test results yesterday so that was a big load off our minds. Stay safe this week friends! 4y
Birdsong28 Glad to hear you have finally had some rest! You deserve it 😊📚📖 4y
Andrew65 @TrishB I realised I needed some time away but going to be another very busy week. Try to have a good week 💖 4y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie It did me this weekend. 4y
BookwormM @CocoReads that is good news both of us feeling better 4y
kezzlou85 Glad you were able to rest. We did the same here. Still preparing for winter games too 4y
BookwormM I also slept late and then had an afternoon nap 🤣🤣 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads Those tests have taken a time to come through, but good news. Pleased your pains have eased. 4y
Andrew65 @Birdsong28 Thanks 😊 The focus of the #24B4Monday Readathon helped. 4y
Andrew65 @BookwormM Sleeping late seems to be figuring prominently. 4y
Andrew65 @kezzlou85 Yes I need to do the preparations for this. 4y
CocoReads @BookwormM glad we‘re both feeling better. I took a nap this afternoon as well. 4y
CocoReads @Andrew65 yes, I think the holiday and the backlog conspired against quick results. But glad to know they don‘t have the vid. Just colds. 4y
TheBookHippie @CocoReads our numbers 🤯 stay safe friend! 4y
Andrew65 @CocoReads That is the most important things. Most tests are still coming back negative, thankfully, but even so still cause a lot of stress in the meantime! 4y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie Not seen them recently but sound bad. Are any of the states locking down? 4y
JacqMac The kid starts home schooling again tomorrow, for the next few weeks. I think we are heading to total lockdown for the holidays, but we will see. We decorated this weekend, in the hopes of cheering each other up. I‘m missing my other two kids already. I hate that they can‘t visit. But we are doing what we have to do. I wish everyone else would follow the rules. Trying to get some relaxing reading in for a bit today. 4y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I‘m going to the mountains tomorrow so I‘m hoping to destress... 4y
Andrew65 @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Have a great, and well deserved time. 🥰 4y
Andrew65 @JacqMac So tough when you can‘t see sone of your own family! How did we come to this! 🤯 4y
TheSpineView Wonderful that you got some rest! I had a busy day but was doing things I wanted. I had a lovely ride at the barn today. With 5 days off I am dreading going back to work tomorrow. 4y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView Much needed and some time to take stock. Good luck for tomorrow, that is the problem with time off, but soon be Christmas.. 4y
TheSpineView @Andrew65 Yes, Christmas will be here before we know it. 4y
LiteraryinPA Good to hear how everyone is doing. My best part of the weekend was applying to 3 jobs that could be a good fit. I did some grad school work but not as much as I‘d hoped. I also had a huge zoom call with my extended family today and kept a positive attitude, so that was good. It was nice to see everyone but I often feel overwhelmed/frustrated when calls are too big. 4y
kezzlou85 @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks oh have fun in the mountains. I bet it looks amazing. 4y
kezzlou85 @Andrew65 been working on my bullet journal for it and already its 30 pages. 4y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @kezzlou85 thank you!! ❤️ 4y
Andrew65 @LiteraryinLititz Good luck 😊🥰 4y

Today we‘re at The Towans in Cornwall. #VirtualTour

How has Saturday been? We‘ve spebtbtge say adjusting to the Motorhome and trying to find places for everything to live. t least we‘ve now worked out how the computerised heating works! No longer an on/off switch. 🤣😳 Away from that reading for #Scarathlon2029 #OutstandingOctober #October20in4 #LittenListen and other readathons.

#DailyCheckIn

CocoReads Those pictures are fantastic! 4y
TheSpineView I would love to live in that lighthouse! I can just imagine the peace and quiet there. Rained all day today coursity of tropical storm, now depression, Delta. My dogs hate going potty in the rain. They have delicate paws!😂😂 Anyway, I slept in this morning and cleaned house, cooked and read. So a quiet day. I missed going riding though. 4y

kezzlou85 Had a bad headache for the start of the day so that wasn't fun but eased and got some reading done so it's all good. 4y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView The remoteness of that lighthouse seems good to me. 4y
Andrew65 @kezzlou85 Pleased to hear it has eased. 😊 (edited) 4y
JanuarieTimewalker13 Oh my goodness, Cornwall is SO beautiful!! 4y
Velvetfur I love that long range picture in the middle! So beautiful 💙 I've just been on the new laptop all day, doing all the job hunting I have to do for the UniCred people 👍🏻 It sounds like you're doing well with the new Motorhome, yay! 4y
JacqMac Lovely. We found hubby‘s dream guitar, so we bought it and checked that off his bucket list this morning. I have spent the rest of the day reading and drinking tea. It has been nice and relaxing. We will probably go for a walk in the crunchy leaves later. (edited) 4y
Andrew65 @Velvetfur Wasn‘t quite plain sailing last week when trying to get electricity from the bollard and couldn‘t solve the beating issue! 🥶😱 Brought it‘s own stresses, but much better today! 4y
Andrew65 @JacqMac You are so so impressive and a real star for the way you are both dealing with what life has thrown at you! 🙌🙌🙌 (edited) 4y
JacqMac @Andrew65 Thank you. We still have our moments. But we are trying to embrace the life we have for as long as we can. That‘s really what it‘s all about. 4y
Andrew65 @JacqMac I‘m sure you do and well within your rights to have those moments, but still very impressive. If I had a hero of the week award I know where it would go! 😊 None of us know when things may change or end so very right we should embrace the loves we have. (edited) 4y
JacqMac @Andrew65 ❤️ 4y
Clwojick I got in some good audiobook time during my overnight shift, but then I slept most of the day away 😂 it was a pretty lazy day for me. 4y

Trebetherick and Daymer Bay today. #VirtualTour

How has Friday been? A very stressful start to the day for me, thankfully things started to settle down by mid morning. With the nature of our precautions and risk assessment, spending a lot of the day isolated in a room on my own with email and Microsoft Teams for company. As I get to the end of the week I find that increasingly challenging and isolating and affecting my mood.

#DailyCheckIn

jb72 I‘m sorry things are so tough for you right now. I spent my afternoon cleaning out some more of my kitchen. I‘m working on cleaning and organizing my kitchen. I have a small table of kitchen junk to haul off to goodwill. 4y
CocoReads Hope you can get some self care in this weekend Andrew! Short staffed today but it was a good day. Things seemed to flow well, for me anyway. But happy I have the weekend off with the exception of some “forced pharmacy fun” on Sunday (it probably won‘t be that bad-but there are reasons I don‘t want to go even though I am). 4y

TheBookHippie Hope you get some down time to just be this weekend! We had cupcakes and I wore unicorn slippers all day 🦄 it was a quiet day....phew 4y
Lynnsoprano Deep breath, it‘s the weekend, and I hope you get a chance to relax and recharge. All these pictures of Cornwall are making me want to check what HF Holidays offers there 😄 Busy day here, weekly shopping and household chores, plus a Zoom meeting about the volunteer work I do at the botanical garden. Not sure if I‘m ready to go back, although it‘s outside, as I‘m a docent. Also wondering if any tours will be scheduled. 4y
JacqMac I hope you get some time to relax and let it all go this weekend. Today wasn‘t too bad. The neurologist appointment wasn‘t very enlightening yesterday. He confirmed that hubby has two aneurysms in there, along with a malformation of one of the veins. Which sounds even scarier then an aneurysm. But it‘s three weeks before he has an appointment with a neurosurgeon. So just more waiting. We are trying not to worry too much until then. 4y
JacqMac @TheBookHippie That sounds like a pretty good day! 4y
Susanita There‘s a beer in the fridge with my name on it! 4y
Andrew65 Amongst all this got my appraisal next Friday, which should be interesting with all of this going on & no end of year data to assess how well I did! 🤷‍♂️ I think my well being will be a big part of this discussion. I‘m trying to ensure apart from emails (that can take a long time) that I try to step away from work or will be real issues in the months ahead. Want to get lost in reading this weekend. @jb72 @CocoReads @TheBookHippie @Lynnsoprano 4y
Andrew65 @JacqMac Sorry you didn‘t get more answers and that the process is not quicker for you. It must be so frustrating, stressful and worrying. Hang in there, sending all my best wishes for you both. (edited) 4y
Andrew65 @Susanita That sounds good and I hope it has company. 🍺 🍺 🍺 4y
Lynnsoprano @Andrew65 That sounds like a plan. @JacqMac you hang in there, too. The waiting‘s the worst 😘 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I worked from home today and since the was little incoming work for me, I took it easy and started reading about 90 minutes ago. It's weird how just being back in the office 3 days a week with nothing strenuous has me feeling more tired than when I was 100% at home. I guess just being "on" with people, waking a little earlier, and commuting takes a lot of effort. 4y
TheSpineView I am hoping it will get easier with time. Hang in there and try not to dwell on things too much. Sending you peace and wellness. 4y
kezzlou85 Sorry things are so tough for you right now. I hope the weekend is calmer and you can get some rest. Been an okay day here. 4y
TheBookHippie @JacqMac kids were so excited - it‘s the little things 🦄🧁 4y
Eggbeater I hope your weekend is calm and reviving. 4y
gradcat Things were going fairly well until I learned of Ruth Bader Ginsburg‘s death. She was, and is, probably my favorite famous person—bar none! I‘ve been a fan of the “Notorious R.B.G.” ever since Clinton appointed her in the 90s. And to @TheBookHippie ... if you thought the ugliness (the election!) was out in force before, just wait for it—we‘re going to be in hell for the next few weeks, or make that 2 or 3 months—until this election is behind us. 4y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView You always give such great words of advice 😍🥰 4y
Andrew65 @kezzlou85 Thanks, it‘s just where we are and we need to plough through. 4y
Andrew65 @Eggbeater Thanks, hopefully 😍 Hope you have a great weekend too. (edited) 4y
kezzlou85 @Andrew65 its a lot to plough through. I'm now trying to help my daughter figure out which high school she wants to go through. We're lucky to have two very good ones but its a shame we can't view them so she can get a proper feel for them both. 4y
Andrew65 @kezzlou85 Our Year 6 are going through the same thing, it‘s so difficult only real get a feel of places by going in them. One school I know looks exactly where you‘d want your child to go (in pictures) but in reality - no!!! Website communications, contact with them and twitter feed (if git one) might give more of a feel of how they deliver on their ethos, vision and values. 4y
TheBookHippie @gradcat May he be voted out !! The hell that‘s already happening within minutes of her death.. abhorrent people. What an amazing woman how she fought for us all. To be grateful and terrified is insane. True sign of the times. We don‘t get him outta here we are done for . Scary. (edited) 4y
kezzlou85 @Andrew65 it really is. My eldest is at one so we know what it's like but it my youngest that needs to see the school am hoping they'll send some info out, virtual tours etc. 4y
Andrew65 @kezzlou85 Hopefully 🤞🤞🤞 4y
gradcat @TheBookHippie Agreed. What you said! ⬆️🙌 (And may he take Mitch McConnell with him!🥊) 4y

New Polzeath in Cornwall today. #VirtualTour

How was Wednesday? Nothing particularly bad happened today, but just one of those days you feel out of sorts.

#DailyCheckIn

BookwormM Hugs for you. Wednesday was pretty good here managed to get caught up on some work stuff which is always a bonus. Viewer came back for 2nd viewing but they are seeing another house Saturday so think it was just a waste of time but hey ho 4y
Andrew65 @BookwormM Thanks, think that‘s what I need today., not helped I think spending all day (in the main) in office on my own seeking to solve issues or responding to emails.with Covid rules not much human contact and gets to you eventually! Good luck with the house sale. 4y
See All 20 Comments
Lynnsoprano I hope tomorrow is better for you. Three and a half mile walk this morning, got takeaway lunch for a nice change. Reading and Great Courses lectures this afternoon. It doesn‘t get much better 😊 4y
TheBookHippie Everyone exhausted today, students are sleepy, it‘s a lot to cope with everyone is feeling it I think ... 4y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie Exactly! After six months at home children struggling with stamina to get through a full school day! And so emotionally draining leading everything and being there for everybody! Never a seconds break day p, night or weekend. 4y
Andrew65 @Lynnsoprano Me too because felt so flat and yuck today! 4y
Andrew65 @Lynnsoprano Sounds a good day 😊 4y
TheBookHippie @Andrew65 I agree totally. Our collective brains are saying enough. 4y
TheSpineView Still enjoying my time off. Went to the barn and rode for a few hours. Came home and got a little yard work done before the rain sets in from this tropical storm. I am already dreading going back to work! 4y
CocoReads Decent day again. Got do@e stuff accomplished and still had time for some shenanigans. Now cooking dinner and reading. Working nights tomorrow so hopefully I can stay up a little tonight and sleep in tomorrow. 4y
JacqMac Hugs. I think there are a lot of those out of sorts days this year. Nothing much happened here either. Went to the hardware store for furnace filters and plastic for my windows. We had snow last week, so I think it‘s time to start preparing for winter. It comes way too soon in these parts. (edited) 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Today's stop looks like a beautiful place. A usual day in the office. Had an extra long Zoom meeting about new billing processes and I'm still trying to understand how it's 2020 and the process is so difficult! If it takes 90 minutes to explain and everyone is still confused, you made it too difficult. Now a walk with the pup to relax. 4y
Velvetfur I love those Cornwall pics, very pretty 🙂 Unfortunately I think you'll be out of sorts quite often as you try to get used to the way things have to be nowadays, but it's all a learning process and things will straighten out at some point, we all have to hang on to that thought xxx 4y
tracey38 Work was a bit crazy today. Anxiery high for mom's surgery tomorrow. I'm going to be off work and will hopefully feel like reading some. 4y
JanuarieTimewalker13 My toilet was stopped up. At first I didn‘t have the strength to plunge it, then got aggravated and somehow the strength came and I plunged like crazy. All clear now. I‘m hoping it‘s just my freakish output that stopped it up and not my bamboo toilet paper bc I really like it. Has anyone else used bamboo toilet paper? I‘m sorry, but I‘m guessing it‘s no holes barred at this point in world history, so I‘m putting it all out there. lol 4y
inthegreensandblues This week last year, I was in Cornwall. 💜 😭 4y
kezzlou85 @tracey38 hope the surgery for your mom goes well tomorrow. 4y
kezzlou85 Been an okay day. Nothing much happened so just a standard day but looks like my dog is having another bad one today. Bless him. 4y
Andrew65 @tracey38 Sending best thoughts and wishes fir today‘s surgery. In my thoughts 🥰 4y
