The story of Hades and Persephone is one of my favorite myths, so I had to read this too. I love the artwork in this one. And the way George O‘Connor reimagines their story. I would recommend these graphic novels to anyone who enjoys mythology. They seem good for any age. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another retelling of the myth of Hades kidnapping Persephone. This one was slightly more in keeping with the traditional story.
Loved the art!
A good book about Hades and Persephone and how the underworld works ruled by them.
+6 for #TeamStoker
@TheReadingMermaid - sorry for so many tags, I had a lot of comic books about mythology and anxiety kept me up all night so I read
I am loving this series! The titles are misleading, as they‘re not solely about the titular god but the body of myths surrounding them. This volume focuses on the kidnapping of Kore/emergence of Persephone and Demeter gets as much space as Hades does, but it‘s good. And Persephone actually has some agency - what a change!
Yaaaaaaaas! Hello @ReadingRover I got my #SFMBC parcel today! I didnt put your book pick in the picture cuz I don't wanna ruin it for the next person.
Thanks so much for the extra goodies! It was a definite treat for the start of a new work week! 👍❤️👍

4⭐️I really like this spin on the tale of Hades and Persephone. In this one, Persephone actually has a part in the story and- wait for it- she‘s kinda badass. She has a slight dark side, and she wants to be there with Hades! Read it! 🌑🍎😈 I love the discussion questions and extra fun notes in the back- I‘m thinking maybe a fun bookclub next year??
Picked up this series because I thought it‘d be a cool series. But this first one is not really about Hades it‘s about Persephone. So let‘s see how the others go.
Y'all - I'm back to school clothes shopping with a cranky 13 year old who has been crying off and on for the past hour. And I don't have a book with me. Pretty sure this what hell looks like - the dressing rooms of Abercrombie American Eagle Forever Hollister Express. I need to start carrying a flask in my purse.
