I have some very tired, very grumpy kids tonight. When they asked to listen to an audiobook in bed, I gave a very exuberant "Yes!" and we all piled into my bed. Hopefully they just fall asleep! #raisingreaders

Traci1 @GingerAntics haha. That's his "reading in my brain" face. As opposed to reading out loud. ? 3y

The best part was when the knight arrived and put Jack and Annie up on the horse!

My son and I love this series: informative, engaging, a wonderful escape to other times and places. We read the first 3 books and have 1 more left. I already ordered the second box with 4 books. Perfect for kids 5 to 8.

Reecaspieces What a cutie. 4y

I still really love this series, but am thankful I was doing this as a read aloud for my little ones. There were a couple times with name calling that I was surprised about. Since I was reading, I could just skip over it. Otherwise we really enjoyed the Knight and castle!

The Magic Treehouse Book #2 was great. It‘s too bad Jack doesn‘t have a camera in his book bag, although he has books about the places they visit so I guess he doesn‘t need one. Book 27 of 2019

Eight-year-old Jack and his younger sister Annie use the magic treehouse a second time in the second novel in the Magic Treehouse series. In this adventure, they travel back to the Middle Ages, where they explore a castle and are helped by a mysterious knight when they run into trouble. This book is a Historical Fantasy book that can be tied into a social studies unit very easily.

ChelseaPerez It would be a fantastic pick for a Reader‘s Theatre lesson in the class.
Here are links to a theatrical adaptation of the short novel that includes the entire class in a fun, hands-on theatrical experience!

DrSpalding What a fabulous theatrical experience! This aligns nicely to the use of total physical response. These books however are primarily fantasy because Jack and Annie are traveling in a magic treehouse and that cannot happen in the real world. 7y
