pickI enjoyed this, Anna Dean has the Austen-era dialogue off pat and I liked that she had the heroine not knowing what Col. Walborough was up to, because a Regency woman probably wouldn‘t and giving an historical character modern understanding / sensibilities is a trap some historical novelists fall into. Good story and I didn‘t guess the solution. I borrowed this from my mum and am looking forward to reading the next one when I‘m next home!
