This was a soft pick; one of those short story collections that start off great and progressively get worse. It may have just been me, but all of those tragedies at the end just weren‘t enjoyable sad books, they were just depressing. I think it would have been better if they had sprinkled some comedies between the tragedies (though I appreciate the organization). Fine book. 4āļø¸

Loved this collection of modern YA short stories based on Shakespeare‘s work. It would be awesome to use with students. Not only do the retellings make some of these stories more accessible, but many offer thoughtful critique of the original work. Adler‘s take on The Merchant of Venice is a great example.

It's over! *sobs* I'm sad because like every October I can't read all the scary books & I can't watch all the scary movies. I won't be sad not to try to keep track of my reading time. I read all day long- when I'm at work that might be 10 mins at lunch, 15 mins at break, 2 mins standing in line, etc. Having to remember to turn the timer on and off was exhausting! But I did it bc I love the points! 281pts
